Full event details: 6:30 p.m. start, Rancho Simi Community Park (1765 Royal Ave), free admission. Bring chairs, blankets, picnic. The summer concert series has been a Simi tradition for over a decade. This year's June lineup is a Morgan Wallen tribute. Family-friendly, food vendors on site, alcohol permitted (no intoxication).

Saturday, June 20: 37th Annual Knights of Columbus Chili Cook-Off & Car Show

Date confirmed via Conejo Valley Guide. Classic cars, chili tasting, bounce houses, petting zoo. The kind of small-town summer event Simi Valley does better than most cities.

Sunday, June 21: Father's Day Car Show at Channel Islands Harbor

A short drive west. Classic cars on the harbor, family-friendly all morning. Easy parking, good restaurants nearby for a Father's Day lunch.

A Quiet Morning: Rocky Peak or Corriganville

For dads who'd rather walk than crowd. Rocky Peak trailhead at the east end of town opens early. Corriganville's old movie ranch trails are flat and easy. Both are at their best in June, before the real heat hits.

A Worthy Drive: Juneteenth in Oxnard, Saturday June 20

The 35th Annual Ventura County Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration in Oxnard runs Saturday. A meaningful way to spend part of the holiday weekend. Worth the 30-minute drive if your schedule allows.

A Quiet Dinner at Home

For dads who don't want to leave the yard. A short note on the simple pleasures of a Father's Day dinner at home, the way most Simi Valley families actually celebrate. Maybe a nod to local food spots that cater.
